Experience the interactive storytelling techniques of the City University of New York - Creative Arts Team's (CAT) Early Learning Program. This practice seeks to enliven storytelling and engage young students as active co-storytellers. With CAT actor-teacher Laura Cabochan, participants will experience and look into the process of interactive storytelling based on a children's picture book.

Born and raised in the Philippines, Laura Cabochan is a Steinhardt Doctoral Fellow and is currently pursuing her PhD in Educational Theatre at New York University. She recently received her MA in Applied Theatre from CUNY School of Professional Studies under the Fulbright Program. She is an actor-teacher for the Creative Arts Team, the oldest educational theatre company in New York City, and does interactive storytelling for early childhood in public schools all over the city’s five boroughs. Laura firmly believes in the arts’ capacity to cultivate community and contribute towards constructive social change.
