"Knock-Knock! Who's There?": Weaving Drama in Early Childhood

Ms Ainul Farhana Mohd

Context of Discussion: Early Childhood (Ages 6 and below)

How can learning be made fun? Can we actually connect with the child inside us? Of course we can! Early childhood programmes can embrace an integrated drama approach. In this workshop, Ainul Farhana will discuss the significance of enriching early childhood experiences for children by integrating the arts, specifically drama and how Early Childhood Educators play an important role to "set the stage" throughout the classroom. Ainul will expand these ideas and share her experiences in engaging children through drama in the different learning domains. This interactive workshop is intended to introduce Early Childhood Educators to drama conventions and performing skills so that educators themselves can apply these skills to role play effectively and be animated to support holistic development of children in their classroom.
